Welcome to Lindsey Budd Therapy. By engaging in therapy services provided by Lindsey Budd, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms outline your rights and responsibilities as a client and serve to create a clear and respectful therapeutic relationship.

2. Scope of Services

Lindsey Budd Therapy provides professional psychotherapy services, with a specialization in:

All therapy sessions are conducted in accordance with applicable ethical and legal standards of practice for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in the state of California.

3. Appointments & Cancellations
​
Appointments are scheduled directly with Lindsey Budd via phone or email. Each session time is reserved specifically for you.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend your scheduled session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed appointments without notice—will be subject to the full session fee. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency, at the therapist’s discretion.

4. Fees & Payment
​
Therapy fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the first session. Payment is expected at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. Accepted payment methods will be outlined during the intake process.
Please note that Lindsey Budd Therapy does not bill insurance directly but can provide superbills upon request for clients seeking reimbursement from their provider.

5. Communication Policy
​
Email (lindseybuddtherapy@gmail.com) and phone communications (818) 261-3676) are to be used strictly for administrative purposes, including scheduling, cancellations, or brief check-ins. These methods are not to be used for emergency situations or for processing clinical content.
All communications are kept confidential and are never sold, shared, or redistributed to third parties.
For emergencies, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

6. Confidentiality
​
All client information is protected in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state privacy laws. Information shared in therapy sessions is strictly confidential, with exceptions as required by law, including but not limited to:

Risk of harm to self or others

Suspected child, elder, or dependent adult abuse

Court orders/subpoenas
A full Privacy Policy is available and governs all handling of personal data.

7. Client Responsibility
​​
Therapy is a collaborative process. Clients are encouraged to be active participants in their growth and healing, and to communicate openly about their needs and experiences. Success in therapy is influenced by client engagement, consistency, and mutual respect.

8. Changes to Terms
​
These Terms of Service may be updated occasionally. Clients will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
